Carlton Haywood, Jr., PhD, Memorial Symposium

Our friend and colleague Carlton Haywood, Jr., PhD, passed away on December 31, 2021.

In 2022, the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics established the Carlton Haywood, Jr. Memorial Symposium to celebrate and highlight Dr. Haywood’s intellectual contributions to bioethics research and how his work lives on through his impact on others.

In Memoriam, Carlton Haywood, Jr. (1976-2021)

Dr. Haywood was a beloved colleague, an assistant professor in the Berman Institute of Bioethics and in the Division of Hematology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and core faculty at the Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology, and Clinical Research.
