The Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics invites you to the annual Carlton Haywood, Jr. Memorial Symposium to celebrate and highlight Dr. Haywood’s contributions to bioethics.

This symposium explores the impact and legacy of Carlton Haywood Jr.’s intellectual contributions to bioethics research and how his work lives on through his impact on others.

Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA, Assistant Professor in the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine, deliver3e the keynote address, “Whose Expertise Matters? Promoting Respect, Equity and Trustworthiness in Healthcare Engagement.” Dr. Fletcher is a national scholar and leader in diversity, inclusion and health equity, and her integrated public health and bioethics research seeks to advance the health and well-being of minoritized populations.
