Andrew Rentschler is the Executive Director of Development for the Berman Institute of Bioethics.  He comes to the role after over a decade of fundraising and volunteer management experience at Johns Hopkins.  Previously, he held the position of Executive Director of the $5 billion Johns Hopkins Rising to the Challenge Campaign, overseeing progress in one of the largest campaigns in higher education in America.  Prior to his campaign experience, Andrew was an Associate Director of Development within the Regional and International Programs office at Johns Hopkins.  Before coming to Johns Hopkins in 2006, Andrew spent time at Loyola University Maryland as a reunion and athletics fundraiser and at Franklin & Marshall as an annual fund officer focused on direct mail, phonathon, and young alumni giving.  He received his B.A. in English from Franklin & Marshall and also holds a masters degree in Creative Writing from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
