Stephanie Mou is a student pursuing her Masters in Bioethics (MBE) at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics. She graduated May 2019 from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Biology and Mathematics. Stephanie became interested in bioethics from classes she had to take for one of her undergraduate minors, Health and Human Values (HHV). Topics taught in the HHV minor ranged from narrative medicine to evidence-based medicine, which opened up a new way of seeing health and medicine that she was unaware of before. Stephanie interned at a school for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) where she got to shadow the student clinics and write her undergraduate thesis on the different ideologies between TCM and western medicine. Other research interests include pathology and pancreatic cancer.
