Nada Kaissieh received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Louisville with a minor in Chinese. While working at the National Alliance on Mental Illness, she took on a role in improving and providing mental health access to youth in vulnerable and underserved populations. With her experience engaging with public health issues surrounding mental health and advocating at the legislative level for access to quality healthcare, she developed an interest in gaining a comprehensive framework to approach ethical challenges that pertain to her future career as a physician. Nada’s interests include shared decision-making, mental health law and policy, neuroethics, and racial disparities in health. In her free time, Nada loves using her film camera, reading scientific literature, and podcasting.
