Mirette Habib received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in Biology, Health, and Society with a minor in Moral and Political Philosophy. In her time at Michigan Medicine, she was involved in clinical research and took on a role in the COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials. Being immersed in an environment where the ethical responsibilities of clinical research were met with those of a global pandemic, she desired to delve deeper into the many questions regarding the moral obligations of research and the medical community writ large.

Mirette is a Master of Bioethics student, and as a future physician, she desires to challenge her previously held beliefs and enter medicine with a thorough understanding of ethical playing field. Mirette is additionally interested the ethics and implications of biomedical advances in genomics.
