Kiley C

MBE Student

Kiley recently graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in Philosophy. A nontraditional premedical student, Kiley has been on her healthcare journey for nearly a decade, as she started working in healthcare at 16. Her experience spans both sides of the clinical encounter — as a healthcare worker and as a chronic pain patient for many years — shaping a deeply personal commitment to ethical, inclusive, and compassionate care. Kiley is especially passionate about bioethics, patient advocacy, disability justice, interdisciplinary care, public health, and DEI. She is particularly interested in how healthcare disparities impact patients from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and she aims to help dismantle the structural inequities that undermine trust and access in medicine. Outside of the classroom, Kiley mentors students via social media, helping them pursue their medical school dreams while overcoming personal and systemic barriers, as she did. She is also passionate about interventional radiology and enjoys learning about minimally invasive surgery alternatives.
