Esime Agbloyor is a medical doctor by profession and received her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Ghana Medical School. After receiving her medical degree, she continued to work as a clinician in Accra, Ghana.
As a result of the peculiarities of scarcity of health resources in Ghana, and the West African sub-region at large, Esime developed a keen interest in the practice of clinical ethics in the face of limited health resources. She is also interested in the ethics surrounding how health policies can be used to promote the equitable distribution of scarce health resources.
After receiving her MBE, Esime hopes to incorporate the knowledge acquired into enhancing her clinical practice in resource poor settings.
