Deanna Figiel is the Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations for the Berman Institute of Bioethics. Deanna comes to the role with more than two decades of fostering philanthropic support, building development programs and managing community relations efforts. Prior to arriving at the Berman Institute Deanna spent eight years with the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine where she personally solicited and closed over $16M in gifts for the Departments of Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine.
Deanna received her BA in Marketing and Communications from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY and holds an MS in Marketing from the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business.
Outside of her professional efforts, Deanna find joy and fulfillment in her personal life. She shares her time with her husband, three children and three Beagles.
