Christen is a Master’s student in Bioethics from Baltimore, MD. She graduated from University of Maryland’s School of Nursing in 2016. She currently works as a registered nurse at University of Maryland Medical Center on the Thoracic and Surgical Intermediate Care Unit.

Her research interests include the intersection of moral and political philosophy (such as social justice theory) and health, focusing on both individual and population levels. She hopes to combine her nursing career and academic scholarship of ethics and philosophy to study women’s reproductive rights, and form policy informed by the intersection of health, gender, and race.
