Caleigh Propes (she/her) is a doctoral student in Bioethics and Health Policy in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Her primary research interests include the ethics of medical product development and regulation and clinical research ethics, with a special interest in ethical considerations related to pragmatic clinical trials.
Prior to coming to Hopkins, Caleigh was a Policy Analyst at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy in Washington, D.C., where she worked on research at the intersection of biomedical innovation, regulatory policy, and bioethics. Her primary research projects focused on clinical trials improvement with a particular emphasis on pragmatic approaches to clinical research such as point-of-care trials. Caleigh received her B.A. from Yale University in 2020, majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.
