Amina graduated in May 2020, from Colgate University with a double major in Cellular Neuroscience and Philosophy with a distinction in liberal arts. Her interest in bioethics stems from the opportunity to sit in or board meetings associated with transplant surgeries. She is fascinated with the ethics behind the protocol of transplant donors and has conducted research projects investigating the criteria behind living donors versus dead donors. Amina’s career goals are to use her knowledge in bioethics and implement them in a hospital setting and as a future doctor. In addition to academics, Amina likes to spend her time reading, dancing, as well as time spent with friends and family. She is extremely excited to enhance her own knowledge of bioethics and to join a community of people that love and value the field as much as she does.
