Andrea Matz is the Associate Director of Development. In addition to working with the Berman Institute National Advisory Board, she works with individual donors and foundations to provide general and project specific support for the Berman Institute, its faculty, and scholars. Before joining the Berman Institute in August 2016, she was Development Manager at the JCC of Greater Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for almost five years focusing on board management, annual and major gift fundraising, and special events.
She received her BA in Political Science and Modern Languages, French from Elizabethtown College and Master of International Development in Nongovernmental Organizations and Civil Society from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh. She has extensive experience working in the international development arena especially in refugee resettlement and grassroots fundraising.
