 ich will explore some of the most pressing ethical challenges raised by co
 ntemporary international food assistance policies and operations as well a
 s discuss some core findings from her new book Feeding the Hungry: Advoca
 cy and Blame in the Global Fight against Hunger (Cornell University Press
 \, 2020).\n\nDr. Michelle Jurkovich is an Assistant Professor of Political
  Science at the University of Massachusetts Boston.  Previously\, she s
 erved as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Sci
 ence and Technology fellow working in the Office of Food for Peace at the
  U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).  In 2020 she was awa
 rded a Kluge Fellowship at the Library of Congress and served as a Visit
 ing Fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University
 .  She is the author of Feeding the Hungry: Advocacy and Blame in the Glo
 bal Fight Against Hunger (Cornell University Press\, 2020)\, and her work
  on food security\, ethics\, and human security has been published in Inte
 rnational Studies Quarterly\, International Studies Review\, and Global Go
 vernance\, among other outlets.
